AUDI OF AMERICA
To create a brand presence for Audi and to attract customers for one of Manhattan’s busiest corners, GRID 3 International collaborated with JGA Inc. on Audi’s first North American showroom. The sophisticated design blends Audi precision with American pizzazz.
Audi’s interlocking circular
logo was affixed to the sides of the existing heritage building. The recurring curve in the design mirrors the car’s curves;
a dropped ceiling detail mirrors the logo. The space plan encourages customers to walk around the vehicles on display.
A curved beech and stainless steel reception desk with a faceted glass wall behind greets customers. A maple turntable under a faceted skylight showcases new cars.
