HANNOUSH JEWELERS
Albany, NY
When the Hannoush brothers bought a building on a good-sized piece of land in New York’s capital city, they moved out of the mall and created a welcoming high-end store. Close to the Adirondacks, the 4500 sq. foot space has touches of a sophisticated country lodge developed through its use of stone and a gabled ceiling. Both enhance the space’s warmth. The rich dark wood of the showcases, the upholstery using the same earth tones as the remainder of the store—silver white walls, stone and copper-coloured wall covering—contribute to the mood.
A cash and repair at one end of the store, with a fireplace and a seating area at the opposite end of the space invite clients to browse and spend time looking at the wealth of merchandise in the store. Along a 40-ft. sit-down bridal area, rich fabric- covered stools invite people to spend time shopping in comfort. Two intimate selling areas host a space for more detailed viewing of diamonds and other precious stones. A small children’s area with a flat-screen television invites children to spend time while their parents shop.

“The walk up, side by side selling, fixtures are particularly successful for brands such as Alex and Ani.”
